The whole equipment consists of vertical and horizontal parts, and the vertical part includes a set of automatic filling of magnesium oxide powder, copper sheath forming rolling mill, welding equipment and vibro-compacting device. The horizontal section comprises three sets of high frequency induction annealing boxes, three quenching cooling baths, three rolling mills, external diameter detector, eddy current detector and wire take-up device. According to production requirement, the equipment was reasonably installed in each floor which is connected by a special communication interface. If any device malfunctions, other devices will halt automatically. It is effective to ensure the safe operation of the equipment.
The economy of cable production line should take two aspects into considered: first: initial investment , second: operating cost.
In terms of initial investment, because the structure and materials of mineral insulated cables are different from other cables, and that the technical requirements are more strict. The same equipment will lead to yield reduction without operating strictly in accordance with the procedures. According to the equipment requirement, the standard plant with an area of about 3000square meter needs at least 4 floors (10 meters long * 20 meters wide * 18 meters high) and also need to install freight elevator. It needs to build its own circulation pool and air compression pipeline. The initial infrastructure cost is about 5 million RMB, which is a one-time investment.
The power supply used in the production is 380V three-phase power, and the operating cost is at least 60% of the energy saving compared with the same industry craft. The total power of the whole equipment is about 500KW.

The production efficiency is 2-10 m/min up to now, and the product qualified rate is more than 97%.
The whole set of equipment adopts PLC program to control continuous production. The operator is only 3 people per shift, who are responsible for adding and replacing materials. In other words, team leader for 1 person , quality inspectors for 2 persons, it is easy to learn for operation procedure.
